Program Overview
In the first year of study you will undertake six compulsory modules. Throughout these modules’ you will explore key concepts in the field of sport performance analysis, before progressing onto the use and application of commercial analysis technologies. You will also undertake modules to facilitate your transition into studying at a university level, investigate Sport and Exercise Science theories, as well as having opportunities to gain recognised vocational coaching and professional industry relevant qualifications.
Level 4 (year one)
The second year builds upon the first year with sport performance analysis modules helping you to further explore analytical and feedback theories within analysis, coaching and athlete learning, whilst also gaining greater focus on the application of this knowledge in an applied setting. A vocationally driven area, you will have opportunities to develop your early professional identity in the field of sports performance analysis through work related learning (e.g. expert/guest lectures) and work-based learning (e.g. placements). A key area, work-based learning is designed to enable you to apply your knowledge from the programme in real-world settings and to gain value experience to use as a foundation for future employment.
Level 5 (year two)

The final year of study provides you with the opportunity to explore contemporary areas associated with the field of sports performance analysis. You will critically explore and apply problem solving skills to related theoretical areas as well as undertake applied analysis tasks associated with the role of a performance analyst in high performance sport. The final year focuses upon developing you as an independent, driven learner that can take control of your learning and ensure that this aligns with your first step into graduate employment or further study.
