Program Overview

The PGDE Secondary (Home Economics) program prepares graduates to teach Home Economics in Scottish secondary schools. It focuses on developing practical skills, knowledge, and understanding in Home Economics, as well as contemporary issues and the role of teachers in driving the discipline forward. Graduates are eligible to register with the General Teaching Council for Scotland and are guaranteed employment for one year following graduation.
