Program Overview

The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Ajman University offers a bachelor of pharmacy program (BPharm) that provides students with the scientific background, clinical and technical skills, and moral and ethical attitudes they need to become successful pharmacists. Spanning over 4.5 years of study and composed of 160 credit hours (CH), the program is designed to give students a comprehensive education in all aspects of pharmacy.


Program Objectives

  • Provide students with the scientific background, clinical and technical skills that they will need to successfully complete their program of study.
  • Provide an educational environment that enables students to acquire the behavior, and moral and ethical attitudes they will need to practice the profession competently and ethically.

Admission Requirements

  • High School Requirements (UAE Curriculum):
    • 70% Elite Track
    • 75% Advanced Track
  • Equivalent qualifications from other educational systems are accepted.
  • English Requirements:
    • A minimum score of 80% in the English subject, or its equivalent in other curriculums
  • Subject Proficiency Requirements:
    • Full Admission:
      • A minimum score of 80% in Math, and two Science Subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology).
    • Conditional Admission:
      • Applicants with an average of 70% to 79% in Mathematics, and two science subjects will be required to pass a remedial course in the respective subject(s) where the score is below 80%.
  • Personal Interview:
    • Passing a personal interview sets by the College of Pharmacy.
    • Demonstration of good conduct and maturity.
  • Other university general admission requirements.

The curriculum is designed and continuously improved with the aim of preparing graduates to be able to effectively deliver pharmaceutical services in the private sector as well as in governmental agencies. Graduation Requirements

The degree of Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) will be awarded after successful completion of least one hundred and sixty credit hours (160 Credit Hours), including the university requirement courses. The period of study normally takes nine regular semesters (4.5 Years). In addition, every student should have field training in community pharmacies and hospital pharmacies of not less than 960 contact hours which is equivalent to 24 credit hours. The minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) for graduation is 2.0.
